We are immensely proud of our team members. Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with many outstanding individuals and truly value the contribution each person has made to the practice during their time with us. We are especially proud to have been the first practice for many trainee dental nurses and foundation dentists, and we are delighted to maintain lasting friendships with many colleagues long after they have moved on.
Several of our former team members now work in a wide range of dental roles across the UK and Ireland, including specialist practice and training positions in Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Dental Academia, Dental Implants, as well as senior nursing and management roles within specialist dental clinics. Our team is drawn from diverse backgrounds, training pathways, and cultures, and this diversity greatly enriches our practice.

Principal Dentist
Dr Kegan Lewis BDS MSc (Clinical Education) MDTFEd GDC 176525
Kegan graduated in Dentistry in 2009 from Queen’s University Belfast with a Distinction in Conservation. She worked in busy NHS practices in Coleraine and Portglenone before taking ownership from LD Flanagan in Dungiven in 2014.
She has been a postgraduate dental trainer since 2018 and is committed to empowering her team in their professional growth. She has completed a Masters in Clinical Education at Queen’s University Belfast to enhance her mentorship and teaching skills in educating junior colleagues. She firmly believes in the importance of Preventative based Dentistry, where regular attendance, diet and oral hygiene is the foundation of long term treatment success. She is deeply involved in local dental committees and is a current Vice-Chair of the Northern Ireland Dental Practice Committee. This is a role where Kegan continues to advocate for the protection of Health Service Dentistry and retention of the workforce in general dental practice.
She has trained with the IAS Academy and can provide clear aligners to correct mild and moderate crowding of front teeth. Kegan has an interest in minimally invasive dentistry including composite bonding to restore worn and chipped teeth, having completed postgraduate courses in this. Life outside of dentistry involves being a mum of three, and her non-human kids Rudy the cockapoo and three cats. She spends most of her time pitchside for kids football training and in the garden with her roses and hydrangeas.
Associate Dentists
Dr Jennifer McCloskey BDS GDC 264005
Jennifer graduated from the University of Dundee in 2016 and completed her foundation training in Newport-on-Tay. She subsequently worked in Crieff before returning to Newport-on-Tay, Scotland. Jennifer joined the team at Sperrin Smile in 2021, where she practices family dentistry. She is passionate about educating and supporting patients to help them maintain their natural teeth for life, as well as restoring patients to optimal dental health. Her dedication to helping others has taken her to remote islands in the Amazon in Peru and rural villages in Cambodia, where she has used her dental skills to support communities with limited or no access to dental care. The greatest satisfaction Jennifer finds in dentistry is seeing smiles transformed, helping patients regain their self-confidence, and empowering them to feel positive and enthusiastic about their appearance.
Dr Eve Matthewson BDS GDC 250767
Eve graduated in Dentistry in 2014 from Queen’s University Belfast. She completed her foundation year in Newcastle Upon Tyne, and has worked in Limavady and Ballymena since returning home. She combines a strong foundation in general dentistry with advanced training in facial rejuvenation, offering patients a holistic approach to oral health and aesthetic confidence. Currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dentistry, Eve remains committed to continuous professional development and delivering the highest standard of care. Her gentle approach, attention to detail, and dedication to patient comfort make her a trusted choice for families and individuals alike.
Outside work, Eve is a busy mum of three young children. She enjoys travelling, reading and the theatre.

Our therapists Marina and Desire are both overseas qualified dentists currently registered with the GDC in the provision of dental hygiene and therapy services. They bring many years of experience in general dentistry and provide hygiene services, routine dental checkups, and routine fillings for both children and adult patients. They will refer patients to Kegan, Jennifer and Eve for advanced dental services such as dentures, root canal treatments and crown/bridge.
Their valuable role in education of patients in promoting oral health optimises the holistic care we provide in the practice.
